What Is Counselling?
Counselling is the application of support towards mental health, using psychological and human development principles that include cognitive, behavioural, and systemic interventions to address overall wellness, personal growth, and pathology. Counselling can be applied to an acute issue or for a broader sense of self. Essentially, counselling provides insight within which you can grow. Through immense and ongoing training, accreditation, and experience, SOLA's practitioners are equipped to support clients within their diverse therapeutic journeys.
Your Mental Wellness
Counselling promotes wellness and clarity within areas of personal growth, specific career shifts, or other pathological concerns. In other words, counsellors support areas that involve relationships within oneself and others. Intra/inter-personal concerns related to 'meaning making', adjustment and acceptance are all part of therapeutic work that shifts many individual or cultural beliefs. Through this shift, therapy can assist in creating narratives that provide individuals and families with the ability to thrive in personal, educational, and career-related aspects of life.

This consultation session will enable our practitioners to understand your needs and ensure we are an ideal fit for you. Much like dating, we want to make certain a ‘connection’ with your practitioner is created and encourage all prospective clients to have a free consultation prior to booking an entire session.
